B.T. in Concert
B.T. is a ball of energy behind the mic. He's a mile a minute when he gets going, and he embraces the heck out of his style. "This is who I am, otherwise I'd be that guy at work who never shuts up...so I figured I'd get paid for it," he told KMTV-Omaha.
His stand-up comedy strikes at relatable themes that connect with most audiences ("Brad Pitt can play any role in Hollywood except a faithful husband"). After getting on stage for Dry Bar Comedy following a hip replacement, he said he was watching the Olympics and realized he couldn't do any of the sports, except for curling: "Curling is what happens when a janitor and a bowler have a kid."
He's been a resident of Indianapolis for the past decade and jokes about his affinity for the city on his recent comedy album, ‘Tales from the Gemini' ("If you're a race car driver or a racist, this is a great place to live...and if you're a race car driving racist, this is the SPOT! I love this place!"). He riffs on everything from politics to the folly of thieves who burglarize his apartment while drinking his wine in the process. The lively B.T. closes 2018 with a run at the Brad Garrett Comedy Club in Las Vegas ahead of his 2019 tour schedule.
Originally from Muskogee, Oklahoma, B.T. graduated from the University of Oklahoma before heading to Los Angeles to pursue his career in show business. Early on, he played Argyle in all 22 episodes of the Sci-Fi Channel's ‘Black Scorpion' series in the early 2000s, and appeared in the HBO film ‘Suckers.'
B.T. was one of the four members of The BlackPack on the SELLOUT Comedy Tour with Vince Morris, Billy D. Washington, and Louis Johnson. He's hosted both the ‘Choppin It Up' comedy podcast with comedian Todd McComas, as well as ‘BTGP,' about his other love: motorcycle racing. His latest comedy album, ‘Tales from the Gemini,' came out in 2017.
