Acerca de Eleanor Friedberger

Whether she's performing alongside her brother as The Fiery Furnaces or singing songs from her acclaimed solo albums, critical darling Eleanor Friedberger knows how to captivate an audience. The art pop goddess's look is as stylish as her edgy sound, and she commands the stage at her live shows with an effortless cool that's both mesmerizing and engaging. From the confessional croon of "My Mistakes" to the poetic lyrics of "She's a Mirror", Friedberger always treats ticket buyers to an artful, passionate concert experience that blends her indie charm with unforgettable pop hooks.

Eleanor Friedberger and her older brother Matthew first rose to indie rock stardom in the early '00s as The Fiery Furnaces, an indie rock outfit they formed in Brooklyn in 2000. After signing to Rough Trade in 2002, the siblings released their 2003 debut album Gallowsbird's Bark to widespread acclaim. The following year they released their sophomore album Blueberry Boat, an ambitious and widely buzzed-about concept album that galvanized critics and landed on numerous year-end lists. Six more well-received albums followed between 2004-2009 before the Friedbergers put The Fiery Furnaces on hiatus in order to pursue solo careers. Eleanor made her debut that same year with the album Last Summer, a lushly produced collection of creatively arranged pop nuggets that earned stellar reviews.  Following extensive touring in support of the release, she returned to the studio to record sophomore album Personal Record, which she co-wrote with folk singer John Wesley Harding. The album was a critical success, earning praise for its nuanced songwriting and genuine vocal delivery. Since then Friedberger has continued to enthrall audiences while on tour with career-spanning performances that highlight her staggering creative range and dynamic stage presence.
