Acerca de Family of the Year

Indie rockers Family of the Year are quickly rising to the top of the Los Angeles underground music scene with their infectious hooks and bright, sun-soaked melodies. The four-piece consists of brothers Joe (vocals) and Sebastian Keefe (drums) alongside bandmates James Buckey (guitar) and Christina Schroeter (keyboards), and together they create a sound as tight-knit as their namesake when they perform. The band's live shows pack a serious punch as they tear through songs like the anthemic "St. Croix" and the popular hit "Hero" from 2012's Loma Vista with a passion and energy that can't be matched. Family of the Year keeps ticket buyers dancing all night long to their catchy tracks whenever they take the stage on their thrilling tours.

Los Angeles-based group Family of the Year was formed by siblings Joe and Sebastian Keefe after the dissolution of their punk band Unbusted in 2009. The duo decided to take their music in a new direction and recruited friends James Buckey and Christina Schroeter to complete the lineup. Their reinvented sound featured bright guitars and exciting horn sections, and it all came to life on their 2009 debut Songbook, an acclaimed release that landed them on tour with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. They broke out three years later with Loma Vista, which received praise from numerous critics and earned a Top 40 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. They continued to gain legions of new fans thanks to their radio hit "Hero” and tours alongside Walk the Moon, Grouplove, and Atlas Genius. Since then they've played the festival circuit --- including Lollapalooza and the world-renowned Summerfest -- had their music featured in major films and television series, and appeared on a number of popular late-night talk shows. With their catchy indie rock sound and infectious energy, Family of the Year never disappoint when they treat fans to their on-point musicianship on tour.
