Acerca de Superhumanoids

LA-based synthpop outfit Superhumanoids have taken the best features of some of music's most iconic decades and distilled them into one timeless, singular sound. Their music possesses the lush harmonies of '60s girl groups, the anthemic vocals of '80s new wave, and the gauzy guitar work of '90s dream pop, and the result is a genre-spanning sound that's all their own. Synthpop legends Erasure tapped Superhumanoids for their 2014 US tour dates, and fans lucky enough to see the band perform soaring cuts like "Bad Weather" and "So Strange" in concert will have no trouble seeing why.

Superhumanoids formed in Los Angeles in 2010, taking the city's hazy air and outsized proportions as the inspiration for their dreamy, expansive sound. The trio established themselves with several early EPs, bolstering their growing reputation with mesmerizing live shows performed throughout the Los Angeles area. In 2013 they released their debut album Bad Weather on the Innovative Leisure imprint, earning praise from critics for the record's epic, nostalgic productions and lead vocalist Sara Chernoff's delicate yet powerful voice. They followed up in 2014 with the single "Come Say Hello", a beat-heavy, skittering anthem that has ticket buyers eagerly awaiting their upcoming shows.
